Default No bus, no start

Recently replaced the 8 wire female end of the connector for the overdrive solenoid. Also soldered 1 wire i saw falling out from the previous splice on the neutral safety switch. After i was done i went to start my truck, it started and ran for a couple seconds then died out. Now, it will crank but no start. dash says no bus. I’m thinking i may have soldered a wrong wire? A diagram would help but i don’t have one

Truck details? Thinking you might have cooked the PCM with a crossed wire.

In the instance i got pin 2 and pin 5 swapped, would that cause a no start. It’s possible that those two i could have mixed up

It shouldn't.

I just realized they are the same color. Either my book is wrong, or somebody screwed that up when they designed the harness....bad juju

My book has the same thing with the colors.

Check the 5v supply on pin 2. See if it is working.

Hey guys pretty sure i got the wires backwards. i unplugged the connector then swapped the ecm with a spare one i had laying around. It started right up and didn’t say no bus. I am positive i’ve fried my pcm by getting the violet and white wires mixed up. I’m going to double check and make sure i get it right this next time. Lol fml
