Default Difference in rear end from a 2 wheel drive versus a 4 wheel drive

I'm looking to replace the 8.25 rear end on my 99 Dodge Dakota 4 x 4 with the 9.25 rear end. I'd located one from a two-wheel drive but the junkyard informs me there are differences between the two. Does anybody know what the differences are? Thanks in advance.

I think the spring perches are in a different location...... (below the axle as opposed to above it....)

You should be able to just do an axle flip kit or weld on new perches. I recommend replacing axle seals if you weld on new perches. But new seals are a good idea period.
