Default Anyone know where an AC mode door can be located?

Hey all. I just repaired a wrecked 2000 Dakota for my daughter's boyfriend, and I liked it so much I searched out and bought another rust-free 2002 R/T.

On the 2000, I have an AC Mode Door, (part number 4462687), with a broken axis shaft. It is broken on the top end where the rotation lever clips onto the shaft. The part has apparently been discontinued. I'd like to buy a replacement. Does anyone know where I could locate this specific part? (My other options are to try and pull one out of salvage, or repair the broken one I already have.)

Any guidance would be appreciated!

Thank you,

Lance

I think there was a thread around here somewhere, that a member rebuilt his doors, to be a bit stronger than factory stock. Don't remember what year it was, or if it was a Dak, or Full-size... but, it'll be in the truck section here. Search *should* turn it up.
