was just sitting here right me list of parts i need to get and was wondering what kind of axle i should use for the front solid axle swap. Any ideas?

Whatever axle they make the over-the-shoulder case for.

OP said front axle.

I think it's the 70-90's Ford Dana 60 front that has the pinion in the right spot?

ok was just tring to get a good idea for a good front axle for the swap. thinking of going to the junk yard to find some parts for the build so just tring to get a list together.

What? He isn't going to do dual axles in front as well?

I do know a guy that has made a steer axle using a Ford 9 center and Dana 60 knuckles. Daniel (6x6 guy) did a Dana 80 steer axle by forging/machining his own inner knuckles with dana 70F outers IIRC.

Dana 60 sounds like a good choice with less work to get it to fit right.
