Caliper bracket.

Caliper bracket.
So I put new brakes on my 2000. Previous owner had tried to put new breaks on. The guide pins for the caliper were stripped in turn threads were stripped as well. I plan on putting new calipers on. But I don't want to use oversized caliper bolts. What does the caliper bolt on too. I want to replace that said piece with new. So this issue dosent happen again.

The caliper guide bolts were stripped when I took the caliper off. I had to get the oversized caliper guide bolts to be able to put the caliper back on. It there a replacement part for where the calipers bolt on. I don't want to use the over sized bolts if I don't have too
Napa has them for about fifteen bucks. Make sure they fit. https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/CALN...&gclsrc=aw.ds&

Okay, yes there is a replacement part. It's called a caliper adapter. It's #6 in this diagram.

OP has a 2000. The slide pins go directly into the spindle, it is a single piston caliper.
Only 03/04 use a special caliper bracket - they are two-piston.
OP, it's very common for the 02 and older design to use oversize pins. 3 of my 4 were oversize. I swapped to a 2003 spindle with the bigger brakes. $250 from the junkyard for a loaded spindle straight off the truck. Just unbolt both ball joints and the tie rod (from both sides) and throw it all in a wheel barrow.
