Hey everyone, I have just replaced my front door speakers on my club cab Dakota. When I went to test them out my radio just displayed one single dash line, no clock no fm/am radio tuning. I can hear the speakers turn on but the head unit it self won’t do anything except display the single dash line. I have checked every single fuse under the hood and under the dash, all the interior lights and cluster lights work. None of the fuses were burnt. Wondering if anyone has any solutions or if this has happened to anyone before.
Radio has two power sources, one for the memory, which is low amp draw, and another switched ignition feed, that actually powers the radio. Make sure you have both. Sounds like it is missing the switched ignition feed.

It’s a 2000, but would one of those powers have a fuse, I couldn’t find any burnt. But many it’s just a faulty fuse.
A blown fuse would give you no display at all. No line - no nothing. Try resetting everything. Pull the neg battery cable and turn the key to crank position, then replace cable.

So I did this whole procedure and ended up with the head unit not displaying anything anymore. Checked the fuses, nothing. All the interior lights work truck starts. But when I start the truck the speakers do a little pop. Louder than before. But I’m not sure what it could be. All in all head unit is giving me nothing.
