Painted the bumper!
just enamel protective spray paint, I wanted a really matte finish and figured that it would stick pretty well with the bumper being rough. Never thought of plasti dip though

Hmmmmm.......
I have a 2 mile long driveway that is basically a gravel road.
Problem is the rear quarter panels, that fold under the bed,
get "sandblasted" on hot dry days, and mud blasted when it rains.
I'm thinking of using spray "Plasti-Dip" in those areas.
Hoping the rubberized coating will last longer than paint.
I could install mud flaps but I think they would spoil the clean look...
Has anyone done this before? Any better solutions?

But, meanwhile, I have done some research and found a 3M product.
It's an 6" x 48" sheet with adhesive, made for just this situation.
Think I'll give this a try. Will let y'all know in a couple of weeks, how it does...

- 3M Scotchgard surface protection film is virtually invisible once installed.
- Clear polyurethane film is 8mil thick with adhesive backing.
- Paint protection film is the most effective way to defend your vehicle from the damage caused by stones, sand, gravel, road debris.
- The film is 8 mil (0.008 inches) thick and has a transparent top-coat finish that allows the transparent bra to shine like your vehicles paint, almost invisible on the painted surface of your vehicle.
- It's got self healing technology...

it's been reviewed and the review was positive and still recommended, after 15 years in use
But if it grows enough to cover the whole truck, mebbe I won't have to paint it ever again!!
