External cooler and thermal bypass valve. That way, the fluid won't be over-cooled, and the trans will warm up quicker.

Definitely remove the check valve in the trans cooler line. If you cut the tanks off the OE type radiator, you'l find it's just a 3/8 copper tube from one fitting to the other. It doesn't actually do much at all.

Those rows are so tiny it scares me .

Where is that located?

They are 0.5" wide so a total of 2" of actual core.

Check valve should be right at the transition from metal line, to soft line, right in front of the motor.

Wow, this radiator is worse than I could have imagined.

Brackets aren't even close

Fail on the lower fan shroud

Fail on the fan hole alignment

Fail on the evap hole alignment

The only thing that does line up is the upper shroud.

And when choosing a tranny cooler, I measured the OEM radiator and didn't take into account the thicker core. now there's not enough room between the condenser and the bumper to fit the cooler.

Should have listened, but nooo I have to try out chinese garbage that's twice the price.. lol.

Been there, bud. Notice that the 4.7 has no support for the filler neck. Pushing down on the rad cap eventually breaks the plastic, so go gentle after you fix it. Look up the Mopar part. The cheap plastic filler necks in the auto parts stores won't last long. Ask me how I know?

Finally got it all back together. Did a bit of fabricobbling on the rad to get it to fit in the right spot. I'm just ecstatic it didn't leak.

Part 1 -
Part 2 and 3 (and maybe 4 if needed) coming.
