Default Ac problems!!! New compressor,condenser,dryer

7 days ago i replaced my compressor with a new one, charged it and everything was fine for about a week. Stop cooling out the blue so i pulled a vacuum to see if it had leaks and no leaks. Charged it back on. And the compressor worked for 10 seconds n stopped. Got 12 volts at the hi n low switches n the compressor itself but still wont kick on n cool. Do i replace both the hi n low switches? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you have power at the compressor and it's not coming on it's either a bad coil or worn clutch.

Put gauges on it, see what pressures are actually doing.

If it's running only 5-6 seconds you won't get a good idea of the pressures.

Jump out the switches to eliminate them. Make sure you have 12v to the clutch - and a good ground.

The pressures likely are WHY the compressor is cutting out..... I would at least want to make sure that is NOT the case before bypassing switches......

Did you replace the orifice tube? It might be stopped up. Usually one comes with a new condenser but they can be lots of fun to get the old one out. I'd also jumper the safety switch to see if that is the probleme.
