I've got a bunch of old stickers I never used when I would buy magazines and they added them to sell copies. I've got one somewhere that would be perfect. You can get big cut out decals and put one on the back window that says;
My sons baseball season ended so we will have more time to get stuff done on the truck. We had a little free time and he was itching to do something so we got the passenger side coil bucket swapped out. We were also able to hack together a temporary steering shaft coupling the Dakota column to the Superduty steering box. We also ordered up some new body mount bushings so we can get the cab mounts moved and finalized. We also we played a little with Ai to get a idea of what the exterior color would look like on the truck. this color is a battleship gray that matches pretty well what he is looking for.
Always a good color choice. Are you going to have to clearance the fenders for the tires??
Yeah, the plan is to either section some fenders to open them up or to go with fiberglass prerunner style fenders. The prerunner fenders would also help cover the tires with the wider axles.

Been slow going with family but was able to get a little done. I adjusted front axle in the wheel opening because at full bump the wheel was a little far forward. With the wheel past full bump there is no rubbing from lock to lock except right at lock where the rear inside of the tire rubs the radius arm.
After the cab location was set I cut the frame cab mounts off and built new mounts out of 5"X3" 1/4 wall rectangle tubing. I drilled out the hole for the body mounts and then cut the profile for the mount. We are trying to keep the ride height as low as possible so I set the cab as low as I could without worrying about rubbing when flexed. Next step is for my son to weld in the cab mount, after they are on solid we will be chopping the front of the frame rail. We need to do this to make the frame line up with the core support mounts.
Would tubular radius arms give you more clearance??
Possibly, its not really enough to worry about but after everything is finalized we will be doing tubular arms. Also if we change wheels we can get a offset that works better.

On Christmas eve we were able to get the cab mounts burnt in. My son has done some small welding with me and this was a good chance for him to get more experience on his truck. He welded the flat section of the body mounts and I welded the verticals but first we had to get the frame low enough to get access to the top side. We jacked up the cab and then put stock wheels on the front to make some room.
A few pics of him burning wire.
The only pic of his weld that I remembered to get... He left a big gap between the tack and his bead, the bead looks pretty good and we ground the tack down and feathered the bead some and tied them together.
After getting everything welded up we set the cab back down and centered up, then he got to "drive" it some as I pushed it back into its spot.
