with gas prices going up and all i herd about this thing called a tornado. has anyone herd of this thing and does it really work? they say its suppost to speed up the air flow going into your engine. sounds like a scam to me. i could be wrong though. if it works though i might try it out. any one else ever herd of it?

Also, due to the design of our intake manifolds, the swirling of the air does absolutely no good. These things are a $50 paper weight just like TB spacers.

It does absolutly nothing. By the time the spinning air gets to the engine it's mixed up again.

If they were so incredible they would be installed in the factory.

Funny as I was reading your question here I had the ABC news playing here on the pc and the story they had come on was about all the different gas saving devices they have tested over the years at the national transportation agency, the tornado being one of them and the testing engineer said in his 20+ years he has yet to fine any of them to make a difference in gas mileage at all in fact a few items cause a loss of gas mileage after being installed.
He said the only way to get better gas mileage from your vehicle was the same way mechanics have suggested all along, driver slower, no fast start and stops, use the cruise control, use the octane your vehicle was designed to use, keep the correct amount of air in your tires, make sure your air filter is clean....in short there is no magic pill.....I hate to tell ya I work for a petroleum company but like all of you I pay for my gas at the pump just like you so I get no breaks either hehe, I know one trick......coast down hills [sm=happybounce.gif]

the ragedy tornado or products there of are only gonna work in labratory conditions its a good theory but by the time the air is sucked into the head past the valves theres no controling how it goes in unless of course is pressurized with supercharger .

The smoother the airflow the better performance and gas mileage you can get
