Huh? The whole thread is only 3 days old. . .

Not sure what a while ago means to you but to me it means more than that. :P

I got sideways with dad when I was 15 and had my learners permit - before he had time to reach over I'd already countered and had it back going straight down the road. He was blown away. Not really sure if he saw the corner was covered in sand when he told me to gun it around the corner, but he certainly wanted to know where I learned to drive. I'd been playing Test Drive since it came out. The original version. 4 colors. On 5.25" floppy disks.

The day I got my license I pulled out of the DOL and walked the car sideways across 2 lanes of traffic and stopped in the center 2-way turn lane, then pulled in behind the cement truck that was going the other way. Mom screamed and refused to ride with me for YEARS after that. Neither of them questioned my ability to control a car though, and I didn't get any tickets on my record while on their insurance, so they left well enough alone.

As far as programmers go, I'd like to know the answer too. Or would pulling the ECM out and mailing it to KRC performance for a reflash be a better way to go?

I was hoping the gear ratios wear controled by the ecu but there not i have to tune them myself. Some Hypertechs allow you to change your gears to make them longer or shorter. For better top end and lower rpms...
No programmer will change gear ratios though - it can adjust shift points, but not gears. That's something it has no control over as the gears are physical pieces of metal. You can change out your ring and pinion, but I don't think that anybody sells different gears for the tranny itself.

yal quit bitch about driving with your moms. you should try driving my grandmother somewhere that last time I drove her to the store she got scared she drove the car home OMG shes terrible. If there was a law in the town she lives in that says you can't go less then 15 under the speed limit on a bright and sunny day with perfect road conditions she would be suspended til she past away. She will take the long way around town just so she don't have to go 55mph or go around a tight turn. Hell I garrentee you a farm tractor or a scooter could pass her at times. I am 19 and have done quit a bit and have the driving record to prove a small percentage of it but I feel there should be an age where seniors hang up their keys or sell the car.
haha they should, my grandma is like that too, once I was going up this curvy hill when I got my perment and my grandma was following, and because she never saw me hit my brakes going up the curvy hill she has never ridden in a vehicle with me driving, ok, I was in a 7K-8000 pound Ram Conversion! It was so heavy when I let go of the gas it slowed 10 miles down pluss.. no need for brakes.....
