Got up to go to work and ABS & brake were on. I replaced front rotors & pads. I cleaned battery post thinking while battery is disconnected code would clear it did'nt. darn light is still on. Any suggestions? Thanks
Is the abs working? Sounds like perhaps that speed sensor that you keep hearing about has fried, but maybe that's just a ram thing? Speed sensor on the rear diff.
I've heard about the same thing on the D's so I'm guessing go with what horatio is saying. Also just try to clean up the sensor apparently it can get gunked up and maybe that's all it is...
It's the sensor on top of your rear differential, I'm on my third one in 60k miles. Be sure you get the right one, apparently Mopar has more than one type depending on year, ABS etc.
Mine came on about a hundred miles before the rear brake line blew apart, the rubber one. Not sure if the two are related.
hey 99 ram, did you take the time to check the condition of your lines while you were back there? as shown by fyrfyghtr, you never know when they will go.
