Gas mileage with ethanol gas?? WTF!!
Alright, for about a month a thought it was my heavy foot. but now i know its this freakin %10 ethanol gasoline. I went from 300-310miles per tank now i get 250 if im lucky. is anybody else seeing thi same thing? im really pissed off about this. i dont want to run this crap in my truck
WTF?! there running Ethonal? I noticed my 300+ city went down to bout 250-260.... is that why gas went from(here it dropped prices) 3$ to 2.10$?
That makes sense why I lost about 50-80 miles......

The price for crude oil has dropped over the last 8 weeks to $61.00 a barrel that is why the price drop at the pump that comes a week or two after the crude oil price drop as the higher priced fuel in the stations tanks is sold and refilled with the lower priced fuel.....Ethanol being added is a whole different issue if you care for some light reading here is some of the information in a nutshell.

Ethanol isnt as efficient (mileagewise) as gasoline. Eth is added to help curb some emissions. E85 is worse. Gets less mileage per gallon than 100% gasoline, but its cleaner. May be cheaper than gas, but when you calculate you mileage loss between teh two, it comes out around the same overall.
Here in Colo. we run 10 to 15% ethanol year round. You are not imagining things, you mileage is definetly dropping. In the Oct. issue of consumer reports they cover this topic as well. Since I run either mid-grade or premium, depending on whether or not I have my Superchips tuner turned on, I definetly notice a drop in mileage. My wife's '01 twin turbo Audi is the same way, these blended fuels are great for reducing emissions, but the return is poor mileage, and moer frequent tune-ups.

I get 230 miles out of my tank so STFU LOL (j/k geez don't get mad at me)! I actually was only getting 10 mpg's and mine went up to 11.5 with my custom intake. I need to get some new wires, cap, and rotor hopefully that'll get me a little more...
no trust me i know what im talking about. i just did plugs, wires cap, rotor, and cleaned my air raid plus oil change all in the last 1000 miles. it is most defintetly the ethanol that is cutting gas mileage. all in good fun meangreeen.. no this ethanol crap sucks. thankx for the link lil. the worst part about it is there's nothing we can do about it.
