ok, so I finally found some sea foam at a napa dealer. I just finished pouring it into the brake booster line. I dumped the whole can in it, so hopefully it will do it's job. im gonna let it sit for an hour cause thats when I leave for work. and I'm gonna try and take a pic of the smoke, but it's gonna be hard with just me. it's goin in for the e-test tomorrow and hopefully she'll pass now.

your supposed to let the vacuum of the motor suck it in, is that what you did? if not, the sea foam is sitting on the bottom of your intake and isnt going to do much good there. if that's the case, fire it up and let it get into the cylinders. it may not want to run but your going to have to help it along by keeping your foot on the throttle.

yes I did suck it in. I let the motor idle. the first time when I stuck the hose into the can it stalled. and when I fired it back up there was tons of smoke so I cant wait to see what the whole can does. and I let it just suck it in slowly. it took a couple minutes.

no I kept the o2 sensors in the same place. I just cleaned them really good. and that sea foam works AMAZING. I let it sit for an hour and when I started it up you couldn't see a damn thing. there was soooo much white smoke one of my neighbours came out and thought I blew my truck up. I took some pics of it, I just have to get them on the computer now. it has better throttle response now. I'm gonna try that stuff in the rest of my vehicles. so it goes in tomorrow at 12:00 for the e-test. I'll let ya know how I make out.

guess what.............. It failed again[:@] the numbers got worse.

HC ppm limit is 50, I was 57
NO ppm limit is 548, I was 634

so now I'm thinking I should replace my o2 sensors, but I'm not. I'm puttin the truck away till next year. I've had enough. I'll just have to drive it with an expired sticker till I get my winterbeater on the road.

over the winter I will replace the o2 sensors as well as fix my heatercore (again[:@]), and fix my a/c clutch.

thanks for all the help.

dude that sucks!! sorry to hear that. I can offer 1 last thing... if your not going to register it, if you can get a non-op done on it, it'll save you from back registration fees (if your area offers it).

whats a non-op? all I have to do is next year get it to pass the e-test and then I can get my sticker. I'm taking the insurance off of it at the end of the month. so at least that will save me from paying $500/month for insurance.[:@] I priced out insurance on my 5th ave, and it's only $150/month. I just have to finish putting ball joints, front and back brakes, brake lines and some swaybar bushings. so hopefully I can get it all done by the end of the month.

anyways thanks for all the help. I cant understand why everytime I did something to it, it would run better but fail worse on the e-test. oh well... I will try the o2 sensors for next year.
