Default whisteling noise

All right.. I cant figure out what it is.. when it gets about 20 degrees or less at night, and i get into my truck and drive it whistles every once in a while till my truck is warmed up... I cant figure out what it is.. its only when i am driving.. Doesnt matter the speed, or gear!.... It sounds louder in the truck.. when i roll my window down its not loud outside.. So i cant figure out what it is.. I have turned my heat off and it still does it... any anwers?

no my truck has aftermarket dual exhaust on it the truck has always made that sound this will be my 2nd winter i've had it. It did it all last winter and its already starting to do it this year. My friend wes has a Ford Ranger and it makes a similar sound to what mine makes. He thinks it might have something to do with the cooling fan and the clutch in it getting stuck or something like that.

just look up the part you need you may have to replace the entire fan you may be able to get just the clutch part of it. I'm not guaranteeing that is the problem with your truck though thats just what my friend thinks it is. or you may be able to grease the old one or something. i'm really not sure

Have you heard this when your radio is completely turned off? It could be something as simple as extra resistance coming from your power antenna line being transferred through your speakers.

Just another idea.

My Dakota does this too. I checked the computer and the code I got is for my A/C Compressor Clutch....so I think that may be the problem.... is it coming from under the dash on the passenger side?
