you have to take your cluster apart and take your red pointers off. so you can put your new background on it then put your pointers back on.

I know there isa trick to get your pointers back on in the same spot, but I forget it.

It is a pain in the ***.

Turn your truck on and let it idle and get warm.
After truck is warm draw a pic of where the needles on the gauges are at
Take the dash appart to get to the gauges.
Remove the clear cover over the gauges.
Then remove the black outline deal off of gauges, then take the needles off with the tool you get with the gauges
Once you get the new gauge faces in turn your truck on and once it is warmed back up using the pic you drew put your needles back where they belong.
then put the black deal back on followed by the clear cover
put your cluster back together, then assemble the dash back.

It sounds easy.....but its a pain.

I think those that you're looking at (the one I have). They actually go over the existing face. The hole is actually bigger than the needle base, but it's a pain to align with the lettering.

I wld just remember where all teh little needles were wen teh car is on and just remove em, and fit the face over the big needles. It's ok to move the needles cuz they just fall back to where they were. btw do NOT take off the old one. Since it's designed to fit over, it will also go right over the needle stops. If you take off teh old one, you will not have anything to stop the needle. Once you do that just start up teh engine again and put the small needles back in ht epoition as before. do not puch em all the way. Doing so will cause them to get stuck. make sense?

Being at zero when the truck is off dont mean anything. Trucks run differently then others, so you wan to have it warmed up.

Yes you take them off.....The little needle stopsat the end of the gauges pop off and put in the new ones.

I have the same gauge face. The holes are designed to fit over the hardware. I already tried takin off the stops. They dont fit on that face.
