New tires.. need some help choosing please
Well, its time for me to replace my tires for the spring. Right now i've got stock tires on stock rims, I think they are 16"? Its a 2002 SXT dakota.
Im thinking i should get some all season tires.. i need tires that will be good on the street for daily driving, but I also want ones that will be pretty decent offroad, becuase I plan on going offroading a lot this summer.
Can someone help me out? I have no idea where to even start. Never picked out or replaced tires before.

I just put the BFG T/A KO on my '99 Dakota about 3 weeks ago. Very good so far. Of course now that I have these, Tulsa has only had a dusting of snow. But what a difference even in that!
As far as cost, the best I found was $112/ea at Sam's Club. Had to special order them though. But beat all the local retailers and didn't have to mess with shipping buying online.

I was going to get the BFG but the guys at Discount talked me out of it, said the Yokohama Geolandar AT +II was better, and they all switched to Yokos on their rigs. I've put about 30k miles on mine so far and they haven't let me down yet, and there's gobs of tread left.

I just went from stock 31.5X10X15 to '03 16X8 Dak wheels. I went with Goodyear Wrangler TD's in 265/75/16. I read the reviews and they seemed ok. I will go with BFG's once these where out and i do a 3" lift. I paid $138.00 for the Goodyears plus mounting, tax, etc. Only have 100 or so miles on them so too early to give an opine other than they are quiet and good in rain. I had good luck with Bridgestone Dessert Duelers on my previous Rodeo 4WD.

I vote for the BFG's as well. They are absolutely amazing in the snow. These made my 2WD truck feel like a completely different truck this winter. The traction and confidence boost was amazing! They look badass too!
The cons? They are heavy. They are loud and made everything shake a bit, and you'll feel every bump in the road. My mpg went down a tad. But none of that is a big deal to me.
