I had put some bosch plats in a while ago and while it smoothed out my idle i lost gas mileage. Went back to the champions a couple days ago and mileage seems to have gone back up, but the idle isnt as smooth. I heard NGK V Power have a good idle and dont change mpg much. Maybe try those if you have time, otherwise I hear cleaning the throttle body helps a lot. I personally dont want to do mine because I am afraid to screw something up, but if you have more knowledge or experience then me I would try that. I also had to have a gasket replaced about a year ago because it was leaking oil, and that smoothed out my idle somewhat. Also O2 sensors may make a difference if they are dirty. Lots of variables here....anyone else know where he should start?

check all of your vacuum lines. even a smallvacuum leak will make it run rough

Thats a good point, even if they are supposed to be pregapped some of them are always off just a little. Did you make sure to put the wires back in the right order? A buddy of mine did that he had lots of problems, but it still ran for a day or two till he had time to redo it.

I gapped then myself and checked them three times before i put them in
and i changed one at a time to get the wires right
It runs fine for about a minute then it gets rough like i've got headers( blubblub-blub, engine shakes)
but after i rev it a bit it smooths out and is usually fine
she also has a backfire habit that comes with a sudden bogging of the engine
i'll try cleaning it up, and CL350RR, how would i check the lines? sounds like a job to do.

Does it do it when it is cold, or more when it is warm? Also when you rev it the skip goes away? and stays away?
Sounds like the idle control valve. If it was a vacum leak I would think as soon as you let it idle down it would start to skip again. Was it skipping before you changed the plugs?
