Default Problem/Concern with Traction Control

2007 4.7 V8 4WD

When Im going over bumps or terrain changes while turning (this is normal on-road driving - low speeds - residential areas, etc) I will feel a 'grind' in the brake pedal (seems to come from front drivers side) then my traction control light on the dash turns on momentarily.

Seems to be happening more and more

Any ideas?
thanks

Maybe the transfer case needs serviced. Any codes or did the check engine light come on?

no check engine lights just the 'Slippery when wet' light momentarily. I havent check codes - theres a thread on here somewhere that tells how to check for codes, isnt there?

cool thnks FF -0 plan on checking it out tonight when I get home - will report what it comes up with.

Im not sure if the problems are related or not.
1) dash traction light illuminates intermittent when driving over normal road variations
2) 'grind' feel noticeable when foot is on the brake pedal at low speed decline turns (almost as if gears arent meshing correctly in the front transfer case)

but for sure, lets see what the CEL indicator says first - thanks again!

the "grind" is most likely the Anti-lock activating when the slippery senses a difference in wheel speed. Not sure why the wheel speed senor would act up like that but is it already out of warranty?

Abghemi might be onto something as the brakes will pulse or feel lke they are grinding when you try to stop fast on ice or snow. I have noticed this a few times in the snow but never has it happened on dry pavement,

Hey Guys
Ok, I checked for DTCs this morning, and none came up. It does seem like the 'grind' is related to the anti-lock as I noticed the same feel in a charger I drove recently. But I dont get why it would 'engage' with no real traction loss - As said, It does happen when road elevations change as in entering/exiting a driveway, street drain, off camber turns etc - so the truck will be rocking slightly, but there is no traction loss.

Check that the rear brakes are kicking in as it seems that the front are doing all the work and engaging the ABS. Also the sensors may be shot,
