04 Durango Video Entertainment System (VES)
I just purchased an '04 Durango which came with the Video Entertainment System (VES). However, it did not come with the remote, users manual, or any headphones...
But my question is if there is a way to program the VES to play the sound through the cars speaker system or if it is headphones only.
Any insight would be much appreciated.
Thanks-

Do you know how I would go about doing that?
I've tried searching through all my AM and FM frequencies thinking that the video player would play on one of the channels and that hasn't worked and when I press the ''mode'' button, it just takes me to my AUX for my iPod.
Where can I find a Video Entertainment System manual/users guide? Is there one available somewhere in .pdf format?

The screen on the player itself would access the mode, but I think you need the remote. www.dodge.com has manuals that you can download if you click on the 'for owners' icon. Then, in the middle of the next scren is a pulldown window (middle of the three) that you can then click on service/owners manuals. The pdf file may have the VES system manual in it,

I took my Durango to the Dodge dealership and they couldn't get it to work either. They ended up pulling the VIN, and it turns out that my Durango originally came with the 6 disc changer radio but somewhere along the line got switched out for the stock radio. No wonder why it won't play any sound. The VES and the radio aren't able to talk to each other . . . Time to figure something else out
It more than likely had the same problem that mine is having. Where the 6 disc changer with navigation and the screen crapped out on me and nothing works except for the cd selection. Can't even pick a radio station, can't change radio stations, can't skip forward on the tracks, nothing. The fix is around $1k for a replacement on ebay, or find someone who can repair radio's.
