Default Tire Rotation 07 SLT

I was going to rotate the tires. Can I do a straight front to back or do I need to cross the frt on moving to the back. It would certainly be much easier for me to do a straight frt to back since I don't have four jack stands.

It depends on if you have AWD or not,

You will need to move the back staight up to the front and the front will cross to the back. So the rear right goes to the front right and the front right goes to the rear left (just as you stated). I read that a vehicle with AWD all the tires need to be within a certain tolerance of each other or the AWD will not engage, but not so much with 4x4. Your switch should say AWD, 4high, 4low,

Thanks for helping. I've got an NV 144 transfer case. The switch inside is either 4WD or 4WD Lock. So the rotation is still as you described?

As long as you don't have directional tires (they will have an arrow on the sidewall showing which direction they roll), do the tire rotation as above.

Here is a picture from the Durango manual:

if you have two jackstands and two jacks you can pull it off, may not be ideal, but it does work, it is how we have been doing tire rotations for years put the jackstands under the rear axle, and jack up the front w/ the jacks, then go

Excellent. Thanks guys. Of course I could take it to a shop but why pay when I can do it myself and save a few bucks.
