Hi I think i could help you on this. I am driving a 2006 Limited in UAE here, same encountered, and plenty of research has been done, apparently the main culprit is the isolation bush, they come in pair, male and female, speaded all round the chasis at 8 location. Outside of the bush is a metal case but internally there is a big piece of rubber bush. The function of them is to mount the chasis to the body of the car, and this rubber part wears out over time. I compared the removed ones and the new isolation bush, old ones are of cone shape (rubber part) while the new ones are square, i think this is an improvement to provide a better damping. Got all of them 8 x 2 =16 replaced, its all good now. I hope this helps.

I had a creak sound when I went over speed bumps, the problem was fixed when I changed out the front sway bar bushings.
They weren't hard to swap out.

In my case, the bushings were fine, and it was the end links that were bad. Not hard to take out either... unless they are rusted on like mine were. Broke a socket wrench, and finally took a grinder to the bolt on the passenger side before I completed that project.

Default You are hearing the noise from front torsion bars. I have had the same problem since.

Hi I have a dodge durango 2006 4.7 v8 4 * 4

The problem is as follows. We change sonenoids, depression sensor, oil, filters. But when you drive and it goes at 1500 RPM and about 40 miles it starts to vibrate, if it accelerates or decelerates it stops I want to know if anyone has had this problem or what could be thank you very much for any help.

Postscript, I review everything that throttle body, spark plugs, coils and everything well.[/QUOTE][QUOTE=jkoons71; hear a "creaking" sound when going over bumps in my 2006 Durango. I only hear it at slow speeds, but it is definitely there. I am not sure if it is coming from the front or rear. I've mentioned it to my service guys, but they say they can't hear anything. I asked if the shocks should be replaced, but that said since the vehicle is not riding roughly, there was no need to replace them. The vehicle has just over 60,000 miles on it.

My driveway has a drain at the end of it which forms a nice bump for me to drive over every day. I have to turn right into my driveway and this is where I first noticed the noise. Now I can hear it going over rough roads/terrain. I just want to know if this is indicative of an problem and maybe a direction
Hello, I have a 2006 Durango & have had this same problem since vehicle was brand new. The noise is coming from the torsion bar. It's a normal characteristic for this vehicle. That's what the Dodge Tech that took a ride with to verify. I now have almost 300,000 miles & ir still does it, haven't had any problems just annoying creaking.

13 year old thread..... Don't expect an answer..... That, and you seem to have another issue you are working as well. Putting those in an old thread, isn't going to get you any help. Start YOUR OWN thread, include ALL relevant information. What the problem is, what you have already done to try and fix it, etc. Don't drag up long dead threads.
