Default 12v amp wire cut

My car was stolen earlier this year and I was installing a new amp, all the wires were cut. I was replaced the RCA cable and spliced the remote wire from the old connection. Was debating if It was safe for me to splice the old 12v amp power wire or would I just rewire the entire thing?

Well here's where your problem is going to sit, since you spiced into the RCA's and replaced the connectors you might have some sound interference threw the subs or your mid's and high's, where as with your Power wire you can splice that with no issues, but I would add a distribution block on the wire where your going to splice it with a lighter fuse, if you have a 40A fuse under the hood for the power wire, remove that replace it with a 80A and put the 40A in the distribution block. I would honestly spend the $20 on a new set of RCA's and get a cleaner sound. I had it happen to me in my Jeep. Monster, Memphis and Typhoon wires are all good, and give you the sound you will enjoy.

I agree with sapporo you need a Amp Installation Kit, try Best Buy or even your local radio shops will have them, you need one for the Amp which includes a couple thick pieces of wire most of them are 18', another one less then 5', a fuse box for under the hood, remote wire, rca wires, and some include a capacitor as well. If you have to goto Wal-Mart and get the kit. But also you will need a wiring harness for your vehicle for the aftermarket radio, sucks I know but alot easier to deal with when you don't have to figure out what wire goes where. The antenna trigger wire for your radio (if you have a wiring harness for aftermarket radios) is going to be strait blue, it will be marked "Remote Wire" thats for the remote wire for the amp and power antenna if you have one. You don't really need a dimmer not really needed, and the antenna trigger wires never have a negative feed only positive.

yes i have the whole amp kit running and setup up except SEs most likey didnt come with antenae trigger wire cos thats the only last wire i need to connect to get it workin. i followed this exact diagram http://www.modifiedlife.com/2002-dodge-intrepid-car-stereo-wire-color-codes/ but it said Antennae Trigger N/A and every wires used up except the illuminator and dimmer so idk where else to connect it too.

I swear I read somewhere that there's some module kit you need to interface with the bus system. check crutchfield

No problem man, glad I could help. I've been messing with radios for a long time, never gets old. And the back massage the bass gives NEVER gets old. Trust me, go into my profile and you will see how I made 2 full size subs fit into a small pickup lol.
