When are you going to start getting estimates from body shops? It is definitely a good idea to shop around. When my dad hit my car the first place we went to wanted $1400 for a dam fender, second place $1250, third $800, fourth $917, and finally fifth was $600.

Yeah, I have a need of body shop work too. A huge rock hit the passenger side front door and the frame under it. Its going to cost 1266 to fix but insurance is going to take care of it. In the end its going to be 500 for the deductible no matter what. Man...I hope you get that fix though. I would also like to see some pics of the damage. Is it just the big bubble bumper that the neon has in the back thats damaged?

 

the bumper cover is a f***in disaster....the stock exhaust was all mangled (which im not worried about its comin off), and some of the nuts and bolts and other hardware is all damaged. theyre just gonna replace the cover, exhaust, and all the hardware that was damaged.

i got a $500.00 deduc. too....so im not lookin forward to that

 

oh ok, well find out how much just the bumper would be. No sense in rebuying the stock exhaust to just take it off. Unless it won't change anything because of the deductible. It is always good to have a part that you know works easily.

When you install the SRT-4 exhaust (i believe you said with no glasspack until you get pulled over) whether you have a glasspack muffler or not, it is very important to get either an SRT-4 owners manual or, for free, go to www.maxxfab.com and go to the exhaust for dummies section. PRINT THE SRT-4 EXHAUST DIAGRAM! When you do get pulled over the cops will think you have modified the exhaust since it has no muffler. (Technically it is modified since it is not on an SRT-4, but you might be able to get away with it since it is just another stock exhaust on your car). The cops SHOULD leave you alone when they see that. If they still give you trouble go to court. You will win the case according to everybody at srtforums. The diagram is an invaluable tool to anybody with SRT-4 exhaust.

 

Hmm...if that works sweet! What a good idea. I saw some kid who got a fix-it ticket for revving his engine. There were a ton of kids in a theater parking lot and one of them got arrested and there were cops everywhere. So this car close to me decides to mock the cops and rev his engine. I over heard a cop giving him a fix-it ticket for his loud car. Pretty sure it was stock though cause it wasn't loud of raspy. I don't know if he ever fought it but I just laughed.
