The loss of power wont be MASSIVE or anything...you'll certainly feel it in the low end though...this just gives you a good reason to turbocharge the Neon.

 

Now the borla that 04r/t is selling that I might get from him looks really nice and has a nice tone . Looks cooler than any dual I ever came across . Its not the srt4 borla so better for a sxt .

 

Yeah the resonators will just help tone down the exhaust, not give you performance. A good upgrade to consider since you will be losing low end is an underdrive pulley. Don't know to much about them. 03neonRT has an Underdrive Pulley made by Unorthodox

 

One thing I had considered, was buying the 3 inch catback srt-4 exhaust system, and perhaps maybe just attaching to the axel back portion of it, that way im still getting the nice look and sound i want of the 3 inch pipes and the 4" dual tips....by doing that though, id also feel like i wasn't utilizing my custom 3" downpipe and 3" catalytic converter off the header that i have just sitting there meshed into the stock 2.25" piping...hmm...i want to do this right, but i don't want to lose soo much power either....do you think it'd be stupid guys to put just the end piece of an srt-4 exhaust system on my car like everyone else does except it will have the 3" diamater piping with the 4" tips, or is that too many pipe size changes ?...(Header with 2.5 inch collector, into a 3" downpipe then into a 3" cat and then back into a stock piping and then into 3" axel back srt-4 exhaust system piece)...that is what it would be if i went that route...as of now i have all that except a vibrant dual exhaust on there right now...what do you guys thnk, or am I just being stupid?

 

yea, i know theyre under the car...thats why im not too worried about it at all. i wont see it. and neither will anyone else. i have to agree, i know im gonna lose power so lets stop beating the dead horse.

gratz on the new exhaust. Looks nice. You wont see any performance out of it till you turbo it and possibly cam it. Post up pics with it on there though. should look nice
