well i notice dis sound like a week ago but didnt really pay attention, well wheni turn da steering wheel for da first time, like in da morning or after i turn it off and go somewhere and come back. as im turnin da steering whell i hear a poping noise, and i can somewhat feel it from da steering wheel. wat could dis b? do u think i might need to lube up da axles? has it happened to anyone

have no idea bro...im not good with suspension at all...I would go to a MAXi or someplace with a lift and have it lifted and checked out before it gets worse...I say go somewhere b/c if your anything like me you have no idea what to look for....tie rods, control arms, wheel bearings....i havent studied much of suspension and chassis at all...

 

well i kno it aint da wheel bearing, i just changed dat thing. i guess ima get it checked out

 

I would use the common "NEON OWNERS" responce that "its just one of those cold-start/morning sounds....yet, I would say that you grease all your joints or it could be the front end bushings.....taking a shot in the dark...

 

i got the same problem lately. But it happens when it wants. If you take it to the shop..let me know how it comes back, im hopefully getting mine in soon

 

there is a recall for a popping noise in there steering something to do with a set of springs in there steering. um othere then that i would check everything in the front end make sure there is no loose bolts

 

now its not from cold starts, its wen ever i turn da steerin wheel all da way to da other side.

 

Is your car lowerd? because if it is it mught just be the spring turning when you turn your tires, this happend to my sister lancer after my bro lowerd it for her which i had to fix. but yeah if it is and youwant a temorary fix, spray some WD40 at the top and bottoms of the springs
