Default Crankshaft Sensor

Hey, Im working on engine swapping, 2.0 for 2.0. I got my old engine out and started swapping parts over to the new engine, on the new engine i noticed there is no place for the crankshaft sensor that was on my old engine. What do I do?

caps what year you swaping because a 03+ motor wont swap into a pre 03 car and vice versa. With out a ton of modifications.. but the crank senser on a 03+ motor is right under the the starter

ive got a 2000 neon and putting a 2000 neon motor in it. the sensor is right above the oil filter. my old engine has it and my new one doesn'. im thinking about just taking the engine to a shop and have them bore out the hole for it.

Exclamation New user help!!!!

I have an 03 dodge neon, engine 2.0. Sometimes it'll start right up, and sometimes it takes a few seconds! Like many problems we all have...i need help to try and fix this issue myself. I put a new battery, coil pack, and spark plugs in it. I took it to a mechanic and it is the cam and crank sensor. If anyone knows how to replace these parts....

Please tell me how!!!!!!!!

I know where nothing is located....

Sounds like you didn't get the same engine...
