Default RE: inexpensive upgrades

here's my 2 cents on IN-expensive mods...I am on a very limited budget
I did the CAI....added racing stripes... removed pinstripes and side door gards (a $0 mod).. replaced the antenna witha rubber shorty... painted interior parts... I also added a very unpopular mod, an alluminum rear wing, but got a deal on it for only $60... I got chrome trim rings to replace the big hub-caps (my car is a base model) Those are what I consider very low cost mods.. all mentioned was less that probably $200 total
. i am working on the next tier ..or next step up up price wise... I got the front, rear and sides lip kit for $178... thinking about an exhaust system (probably anywhere from $150-$600)... tailights (at least $100).. and rims gotta be at least 600 (ebay) to 900 (ouch)...even seat-covers seem pricey in my book... wanted some all red for front and rear, but even the cheapies in the auto parts stores are like 20-24 bucks for just one (why do they sell just one in a package?)

So when you get done messing around with a cutie inside your car, you can throw the"messed up" cover out and buy a replacement without having to buy two at once lol.

LMAO!!!

HAHAHA!!! That has to be the best explanation YET!!

Your best bet for cheapie mods would be:
-Shorty Antenna
-Painted Calipers (go down to an auto store and get caliper paint)
-Motor Mount Inserts (prothane race or street)
-Painted Valve Cover

ETC ETC

Basic dress up stuff and the motor mounts will be all you can buy for under 100 bucks.

I thought I could mod my sxt cheap but in reality your going to spend more money than wanted to no matter what . Its just depends where you wanna start out with . The engine or exterior or interior . I started out on the exterior 1st . I say tint and exhaust since you dont list those things .

Yeah I basically tried to go the cheap route, but you can only do so much with limited $$$. I centered more of my mods around performance though, instead of appearance. Appearance changes was just a side-effect of having to do repairs and hide bodywork he he he.
