if you wanna pay 500 for a intake go ahead lol well its prob not that much anymore but it used to be. its way overpriced and theres no reason to get it

 

The filter on it actually isnt bad at all, and there is a small pipe to replace the accordian thing. And I bent that bracket to make it reach some random bolt by the battery somewhere. Now stop lookin at this and check out my friends srt4 swap, its nicee. Cant wait mid 08.

What material is best for a CAI?

 

Stainless Steel, but not chrome, parts that have a black paint job get rid of heat better then chrome. I could make CAI intakes at work if I wanted to, but I dont wanna.

material doesnt matter. its just a tube

 

Technically, a specific type of plastic is best because it will conduct heat better then metal, which is why the Iceman intakes are so popular...but shiny metal looks waaay nicer.
