well yeah i can get all the parts...gonna order some cross slotted rotors blah blah drilled when i hit 100k and redo all my brake pads, rotors...

and yeah i'm going n/a...not all out but some decentness. i am only 18 so i'll swap the engine when i've graduated from college

Ok I'll clear a few things up here...

The Comp 400 is equivalent to the Crane 14 as far as power output is concerned, but the Comp 400 is designed for a Magnum head, so if you put that cam into a non-Magnum head you wont see as much gains as if you put that cam into a Magnum head. However, even though that cam works best with a Magnum head, in a non-Magnum head it will still give more gains then a Magnum Cam, Comp 200, or Crane 12. The biggest difference between the Crane 14 and the Comp 400 is the Comp cam is designed to keep all the power gains inside the stock rev limiter of 6815 (Mag Rev limiter), while the Crane 14's power band exceeds 7200 RPM's.

Now, between the Comp 200 and Crane 12, there really isnt much difference in any regards...so its really up to you which one you choose. Both of them will give you more power output compared to the Magnum cam, but its not that much realistically (maybe two whp once your said and done) when you look at all three together.

soooooo lol you can put a comp 400 cam in your non mag car, and get more gains than the comp200/crane12??? or am i still AFU lol

but is it gonna screw anything up? i remember you said it would be more beneficial to go with a comp200/crane12 cam...im still in the grey a bit...

so da comp 400 should work good in a non mag car witout other things needed or are mag lifts needed, and valves and other stuff

You go ANY bigger than a comp 200 or a crane 12 and your going to have to do some work to the head to make sure the cam fits, you will also need new valve springs, titanium retainers, and I think thats it.

too install the cam aint that bad if you can do the neon timming belt you can do the neon cam. but valve spring is PITAon a soch head since the stupid sparkplug tubes are in the way.

I will probably look back and realize that with all this naturally aspirated stuff, I could've gone turbo. But at this point I can't risk blowing **** up, and can't have my car down for too long.

I hope you do know that you're not going to be a powerhouse building up a Neon. These engines weren't meant for turbo and I still dont' think my car is really going to haul *** once i've done a few more mods.

ECONOMIC CAR FTL!

Maybe i'll just get a scion xb and stop this **** already lol [&:]
