i have a K+N stock filter. will that fit on the end of a CAI?

 

Yes it will best you can get for an filter k&n is and anyone thats afraid to get a ebay intake the filter is the most important part of an intake and I have had my ebay intake for over a yr and I just love the nice sound it has and gives some hp to my sxt its just as good as any name brand intake.

 

A drop in filter isnt designed to be attached to a CAI tube...

 

I think he meant the cone K&n filter. Those are the only filters that I think fit our 2nd gen neons . The other type only fit 1st gens I thought.

 

I had a K&N drop in filter on my R/T before I went and bought my Typhoon...

 

Why is a bellows tube important? I take it it's so water doesn't enter the engine. Doesn't K&N have a bypass valve. A lot of people are saying the K&N is bad, but why, how does it compare to the ebay CAI. Can someone link me to an ebay CAI auction?

Dont listen to those people that say the Ebay is BETTER then the K&N...that would be like saying an old Pinto is better then a new Mustang.

The bellows tube is just an extension of the intake system because of its design....on the standard SOHC Neons the tube is straight, on the Mag's its angled.

those prices are almost too cheap.so what am i not getting from an ebay CAI besides the name. There has to be something else between a $30 intake and a $200+ intake.

 

More and more of us have the ebay intake and love it . A intake is an intake name brand or ebay all the same just the k&n filter that matters. Why pay 200 bucks when you can pay 30 bucks and get the same outcome.
