Should sound pretty nice.

 

I have the 4inch on mine and it doesnt sound ricey at all. For some reason the neon has a much deeper rumble than my friends civics, tegs, and rx8. Just remove the muffler right behind the hanger and get a piece of bent exhaust pipe and bring it down to the right angle. Your gonna have to modify a hanger but its not that difficult. The only problem I had with mine is that the new body kit I got has the exhaust cut out on the right but if you do this the pipe is going to stick out of the left side of the car. Good luck!

 

Im gonna wait until spring so I can work on other stuff on her got red graphics coming and cf tails howell automotive is so slow and im workin on customizing the inside .rt exhaust is on hold.

 

actually now I found a rt exhaust for 75 dollars only used for a month pretty sweet deal and you guys are wrong about the big mufflers actually saw one today when I went into town on a 2002 sxt body kit and all red neon and it sounded way differnt than the imports. so excided for my dual rt exhaust.

 

I highly suggest the thermal research and development exhaust a kid has it at school on his R/t ....but i just have stock SRT-4 exhaust, the Borla is soon to come [sm=smiley36.gif]

 

I decided to get the rt got it today for a 110 dollars cant wait to put on my dual its gonna sound sweet.I hope its easy to put on and I dont want to cut my bumper at all or it to rub against it.do any of you know and do I have to use the other part from the dealer or can I bypass that part someway.

 

I dunno about the rest of you, but the dual's on my Neon sound great. Not as loud as a fartcan but not far from it. My step-bro with a 5.0 Mustang (dynotech dumpoff's), complemented the sound of my exhaust. The guy never complement's anything of mine so I was astonished. It's pretty deep, but yet again when your cruising at 70mph it's not loud, but it's louder than a stock no doubt. When I drive around town everyone look's, and that's cruisin at 25mph in 2nd, at about 2500rpm. I hop it to 3rd gear when I get to 30 mph, it doesn't sound quite as good till about 35mph and yet again about 2500rpm.

Just wanted to add something, my car is a SOHC, prolly sound's a bit diff from a DOHC with dual catback.

 

i got a fart can on mine and it doesnt sound anything like thoses honda civics. it has a pretty nice tone to it. along with the cai. i got lots of compliments. if it sounded ricey believe me it wouldnt be on there right now.
