I would only say its worth it if you are getting this motor for next to nothing...

Ditto. Even if you are geting the motor for next to nothing, just swap in all the Magnum parts (complete head, intake and exhaust manifold, transmission, etc...) and dont worry about pulling your block or switching your PCM...if your going to go through the trouble of swapping out pistons just get some used or new 2.0 DOHC pistons for cheap that will get you an even higher CR.

LowSlowNeon was talking about just swapping a tranny, so how can i do that?
Right out of the FAQ...

Q: Can I swap in a manual transmission into my automatic Neon?
A: Yes, you can and will need the following: transmission (3.55 or 3.94), modular clutch, passenger side axle, clutch master and slave cylinder, shifter cables and clips, tranny side motor mount from a manual transmission 2nd gen, MTX PCM from your year car, shifter and shifter base, clutch and brake pedal assembly from a 2nd gen.

No, you wouldnt need the axles or anything, just the transmission itself...

Don't mean to hijack, but would this work in a 2000 Neon that already has a manual transmission?

The R/T transmission wasnt offered in 2000, and the year 2000 T350 transmission used a cable clutch system, while the 2001-2005 T350 uses a hydraulic clutch setup. You wouldnt have to do anything differently, you just would have a hole in your firewall where the clutch cables went through . Since your car is already an MTx, you would just need the transmission itself (and maybe the clutch master and slave cylinders, not 100% sure though).

wen i put my 3.94's on my SXT, i took off the 3.55 tranny and bolted up the 3.94. Nothing else needed...
