Has anyone done it? Where did you get your LEDS? I am wanting to do the Guages/HVAC also. I know that the bulb number for the guages is 194 I believe correct me if I am wrong. Also what about the dome light? Any information onthese would be great. Thanks

 

Its very easy to do the cluster bulb swap. Here is a link for the bulbs:

what about the dome, trunk, and license plate lights? can i put red bulbs in those? and is it legal to put a red one where the license plate is?

 

I have a uv led bulb in my dome and license plate light and my trunk not illegal for those places. For my gauges and hvcc I went custom and dont need led bulbs .

 

what about the whole red part.. do they have a problem with that?

Ive have had red and the cops never bugged me about those three places more my side markers . I have 7 led bulbs for my backups now those they would if they saw me back up by luckly I never had to back up behind a cop. I also have a led neon kit underneath thats illegal also but only use them in a parking lot or at shows. But for those 3 places where you wanna put the red bulbs not illegal.

 

U need 8 for the cluster if u want the turn signals to be blue too. Otherwise u will need 6. I'm not sure how to do the hvac and I couldn't find the right colored bulbs for the dome light, still working on that, lol. U might wanna check to see if there are any laws against colored lights on the exterior of the car. MI is soooo uptight, I can't have any colors other than amber turn signals and red brake lights. Sucks!
