I never excesivly speed when other people are around.. but when you have an open four lane highway with no one in sight im pretty sure if something happned the only one getting hurt is myself..and maxing my car out isint to impress my friends..cus i never have anyone in the car when im going that fast..i just wanted to see how long it took to get up to that speed and have a little bit of fun in my car when no one is around. andnow i know that around 240 km/h i run out of rpm's i need a 6th gear!!

 

Especially when you own a Neon in that top 10%.

 

I did it on a dead highway to see what my car could do. I rarely go over 90 with people in my car, or when there are people around.

the r/ts cut out at 130, i got my 1st gen past the 120mph mark then no fuel and the airbag light came on, and i no wat graphite means.

we planned out a nice lonly road on sunday during church, no ppl, no cross roads
hit a 180, thats more than 1/4 the sped of sound, i have it on video, but no card reader for the computer, some day
driving ourse and experience, but even doing 60 can kill a person, dont matter if they get hit at 60 or 200, their gonna die

 

Fastest I went on my neon was bout 90mph.........70mph and up my engine rpm goes between 2k-3k and has a hummin noise?!?!?!?!

 

No, the R/T's run out of gearing right around138mph but they do not have any other form of speed limiter.

 

Yeah, they have a rev limiter, though. No speed limiter, however.

 

Yes, technically speaking if you upgrade the valvetrain and get rid of the rev limiter the top speed will increase for the R/T.
