Default Where to go for paint...

I'm going to get my car painted white, made up my mind. So where should I go to get it done?

How long should I expect for it to take? What about the engine bay?

HAHAHA Your funny! That deserves a back hand! If you want to paint your car spend some money to go to a good shop that will do all the proper prep work before painting it and that will also do all the proper finishing work after it's done being painted. I never suggest macco they blow bigger ***** then Debbie when she did Dallas. Do some research and find a good shop in your area trust me it will be worth it to take it to a qualified shop who will do it right the first time! O and don't worry about the engine bay itt shouldn't be painted unless your running a show car but if your mitculous get ready to pull your motor out.

D:

I wasn't considering Maaco or Earl Schieb, ANYTHING like that. haha
Maybe I'll just have the engine bay painted seperately once I start doing major engine work...
As far as a paint shop, was wondering if there was anything out there that's as big as Maaco but does quality work. 4k for a paint job is kinda steep

Absolutely DO NOT go to English. They have the WORST colormatch EVERRRRRRRRRR.

My front bumper does not match the rest of my car whatsoever, and the paint is already falling off. We used a ****load of coats too...POS paint.

Gaaaaaaaaaaah, guess I'll just go to one of the shops I've looked at that are in the area. One of them has a good word from a person I bought my gauge cluster from so I think I'll go there.

Adionik, i noticed the different color on your bumper in your sig. mine's a little different color too after a repaint, I think it wascrashed before i bought it, i noticed it at the dealer, but it had no frame damage or anything so i didn't mind. The color difference is really barely noticable, but now some of the paint is starting to chip off and it sucks.

My custom mixed black paint job cost me 1grand . Doing it yourself way cheaper and more fun for the nice attention you get from people around town and shows.

If you spend 4 grand on a paint job then i am sure it is going to be better than macco, but most places for 4 grand will include minor body repairs to get the body smooth for paint along with everything else. As for having two different shades of paint is because if you have your car painted you have about three months before you wont be able to use the same paint because of wear and just the fact that its baked in sunlight along with curing and weathering. but 4 g's for a paint job is good.

You can do a 4grand paint job yourself that costs you 1grand and looks awesome . but if you do have a 4 grand paint job by someone better be top of the line paint job for that much.
