NeonOn19s Project thread
Well last night I picked up my buddies high speed buffer and another Turbo housing to work on. I used a 3 stage polishing setup, and worked on it last night for a couple of hours and then finished it up this morning for now...

THE COMPARISON BETWEEN THE TWO:

I also started on installing the adapter plate, but ran into a small issue.

This is only the half of the adapter and I have a some play even with bolts tight. I might have to change out the bolts to a shorter one, I might be hitting the end of the thread. I took a break ( its 50 out and a bit cold for us southerns)
I should put more up later on today.

Well I tried again after I had some lunch and figured that I was using the wrong size of bolts, there were 3 differnt sizes to the kit and I put the wrong ones on first.... .
So I finished mounting the adapter plate up to the block.. Looking good so far...
I then did a test fit with the Turbo manifold on to check clearances..

I think that I need to cover up the lines attached to the firewall..
I will mess with it more in a bit.

Ooooo, shiny turbo....needs to be donated to Djmagic....lol. 19's I might have to send you some parts to make shiny since you do such a great job. With those frequent flier miles out to DTJ, you can use some to flyout to Tucson and shine some parts.
no problem man.. send it my way and we can work something out...
looking good, i am ordering my turbo today for my car.... should be about three weeks till i see it however..... sucks they have to custom make it!!! did not touch my car much yesterday, just set the intake in place, besides that nothing really.... maybe mount the radiator in today or just look at it today after work... one or the other, lol
what did u use on the compressor housing??? i have used jewlers polish and that seems to work good, but does not hold up long.... my manifold looks like it needs some work already, shine does not hold up very well
I bought the 3 step polish bricks ( brown, black and white) and used it on my manifold and it worked great, so I figured that I would try it on the housing too.. If it doesn't work, then I send it out to get ceramic coated to keep the shine.
hey i am still waiting for ur check to clear???? what is up with that? haha, that was along time ago, i dont have ceramic coating around here. it sucks, so before shows it is going to suck cleaning my engine bay
Well times are tight... especally with the economy and all.. ceramic coating normally can be done by the powder coaters i thought.
