K, I haven't checked anything out yet, but I'm going to go do so now. Went into some random Auto store, came out, turned on my car, turned the lights on and the radio turned off and on like I had just started it, then the ABS and EBRAKE light came on for a second. Everything went back to normal after that. Did it twice today, first time I didn't notice it, thought my ebrake was %(#$@!. This started happening today, after a night of heavy drifting. Did it twice, and only when I turned my lights/fogs on (I do them at the same time). gonna go see if it does it again. Any ideas of what could be causing it?

 

no clue, I was "drifting" tonight and that hasn't happened to me. Maybe water got some where it wasn't suppose to and is causing a short?

So last night the car died when I turned the lights on. Hasn't happened since, though. I'm gonna test the battery. I'm also gonna buy a voltage gauge, this is ridiculous.

 

same thing happened to me yesterday actually. iis most likely your alternator...or at least i hope cuz im replacing mine tomorrrow hopefully

Neons DO NOT drift, unless you converted to RWD which its safe to bet you did not. Why don't you try resetting the computer to see if it goes away. Have you checked brake fluid level? Maybe you wore your brakes down since the Ebrake is not designed to be used like that.

 

Neons do drift, it's just really hard to do. And no, I haven't converted it yet. And the brake fluid is fine, my problem is something electrical.

 

well let me warn youof the next stage that i hope you dont reach...your car will start cutting in and out. your speedo and tach will only work when they want and possibly get stuck on the wrong side of the needle like mine. every light in your dash includin abs and ebrake will come on.let me know though if you figure out your problem, cuz right now my only guess is burnt the ecu or bad grounds...

 

Well I already know my Neon has bad grounds. Neons are notorious for bad grounding. My lights dim all the time when the radio comes on, or when I brake. That will be the next problem to be fixed. The car hasn't done it for a while now. I poked around the fuse box inside the engine and found a loose one, MTV relay or something like that. Since I pushed it back in I've yet to have that problem.
