85 ft. lbs? Is that on your SRT manual?

NeonSXT04, how many ft. lbs did u tighten your Prothane inserts?

Its 85ft lbs for both.

i have a busted front motor mount... how much would a new one be from dodge?

or i could just get some inserts... problem fixed lol

The basics of it is this, tighten it enough that they won't come loose, they do hold the motor in place, and no too much that you break a bolt. I am sure that there are exact specs for every bolt on the car, but thats the easy way.

Well like RR said...its 85ft/lbs according to the FSM.

Here is where the proper wording is needed. Your motor mount inserts aren't actually for the motor mounts, they are for the torque struts, the torque struts simply keep the engines twisting and torquing in check. The inserts limit this movement even more. And the factory service manual calls for these bolts to be torqued to 85 ft. lbs.

SO THAT BEING SAID...THAT MEANS MY O4 SXT NEON MOUNTS (TOP/BOTTOM) WOULD ALSO BE TORQUED TO 85ft/lbs???????

What part did you break? The bolt, braket, or the rubber?
