i have a 2000 neon se..just curious before i start taking things apart..is there a cabin air filter ..oily smell coming when tuning air on ..any cause and solution engine bay is pretty clean and oil free...any help ...thanks..

 

nope. no filter. its bacteria growing in your vents over time. blast the ac for a while with air coming into the car ( not recirculating) and see if that helps at all

I bet your evap is bad... does your A/C even work? I just spent $900 to have mine replaced in June.

 

You can make one to help with the dust, but these do not come with one stock.

They are POS neons.
