I've been wanting to buy some rims for my 00 dodge neon, but I'd like to know whats the biggest i can go, without having to do any type of modification to the suspension, and also what size of tires would it go with it, i dont really wanna get really thin tires cause they've told me that its easier to break/mess up your rims with the, (not to mention the condition the streets are over here). so anyone have any suggestions?
thanks in advance.
well...I think people have done 18s. But I'm not sure. Most people will go to 17s. You don't have to do modifications, your tires aren't super thin, and your speedometer is barely changed. I think most people get 205/45/17. I can't be 100% though.
With 17's you need to run 205/40/17. There is hardly an inch from my tire to strut perch. If you want 18's your gonna need 35's. I have 17s right now running 205/40/17, I dont like the skinny tires but they arent the worst either. I hope I helped.
im thinkin of getting different 17" rims with an offset of 40, so what tires should i run then? i'd like a wider tire maybe 225's? and if i was to need any spacers wich ones should i get? and with tokico blues on by the way
ummmmm when i got my car the girl that owned it put 18's on her with a lowering kit...... ride wasn't very nice at all but they looked nice... till i sold em lol :-P
