Default by the way....timming belt

when should it be changed? i have the haynes manual, it sais in there 90k, but i heard some people saying 60k? i just turned 80k, and honestly i'm a little bit scared to race it, cause i'm thinking that 20k over is to much. i plan to change it at 90k, but wanna make sure, maybe i'll do it faster. and, what brand should i go for? a good one. tks.

The manual says 105,000, but most of the guys around here have gone to 120,000 before they changed it without any serious problems.

I have my T-Belt, water pump and tensioner 10 ft from me....just waiting for the cash to pay a mechanic.

I bought mine at the Parts dinosaur. I got everything for $150 shipped.

So what does your manual say about hubcap maintenance?

Change them out everytime one falls off?

If you plan on keeping the car, put in a Gates belt. It will go another 100K. I changed mine at 120K, but 80K were highway miles. The cost of the belt is small compared to the shop time to put it in. Replace the water pump and tensioner too.
