I've been pulled over by every cop in the nearest three towns, demarest, closter, and haworth so they dont really pay much much attention around my house but occassionally they pull me over just to bust *****, but I just try to be nice, respectful and play to their ego as much as possible without sounding like a kiss-@$$ if u know what i mean. anyways if a cop wants to pull you over they will, they dont even need a reason, they can actually have you step out of your car so that they may frisk you(stop and frisk law), apparently it is for "their" protection or some kinda crazy crap like that, but my bet is its just b/c they are bored out of their minds pulling over fugly soccer moms in their minivans b/c their kids wont wear their seatbelt or something.... lol but just remember unless you are found guilty of driving drunk or under the influence or you have some kind of drug, weapon or alchohol in plain sighta police officer has NO right to search your vehicle unless you give him permission, now it is not usually a good thing to say no, b/c that generally just pisses them off quite a bit more and will just give them reason to give you some kind of ticket that you really dont deserve but it is still your right to deny search without a warrant or probable cause..... so if a cop ever asks you to step out of the vehicle and then proceeds to ask you if he may search your car, just calmly and polietly ask him what his reason for asking to search your car is.... dont be like "why do you want to search my car?! I dont have anything illegal in there!" and turn into the punk kid he thinks you are just b/c of the car you drive.... say it like a mature and educated person "may I ask what your reasoning is for asking to search my vehicle, officer(or sir whichever floats your boat)?" if he does not give you a reason, or avoids the question entirely you can just say "Sir, I am not sure what your reasoning is for wanting to search my car, but I am going to have to politely decline as I do have to be ________(insert place, ie. home for dinner, at my girlfriends house, on my way somewhere, or something of that nature), and I really cant afford to be late, is there anything else I can help you with officer?"

just keep in mind he may get offended or pressure you into saying yes, but you can just say "officer until you give me your reasoning for wanting to search, I am going to have to decline." Also it is usually easier just to let the officer search your car, so unless you really don't have the time or you really don't want them to find "something" just let em search and have a blast when they come up empty handed. always fun to see the expression on their face that they didnt find anything and they know it, lol.

 

accually.... u can go to the speed limit as fast as u want, but if u have a car with some nuts the tires my "talk" to the cop, and the cop will pull u over

 

You must have some rim-biased cops

 

I got caught going 40mph over the speed limit and had three cops pull me over. They thought I was racing some guy that was slamming on his brakes infront of me so I was just trying to get away. They only pulled me over. THree cops to pull over one dude in a neon and they even asked me question about my car because they thought I stole it. Gave me a ticket for only speeding and not for careless driving too.

 

I wouldnt have liked to see that ticket... 40 over.. ouch.. I was caught 20 over in Wildwood NJ (where the cops are normaly dicks) and I WAS racing... but the other guy didnt go over the speed limit and saw the cop in time.. I didnt.. I didnt get a ticket. I lied through my teeth and got nothing but a warning

 

Yea, there was no way to get out of it, went to the judge and told him what happened and he reduced it from $430 to $330. I was pissed because the three cops pulled me over and no one went after the other guy. I think I might still have the ticket around but I probably threw it in the shredder after I paid it off.

 

Ha 40 over is nothin. A friend of mine that has a 2000 Plymouth Neon got a ticket for 119 in a 55. Yea 64 over. Needless to say he lost his liscense for 3 months.

 

Yea, kind of glad they did catch me over 100, need my car to get to work. I would lose my job if I decided to go that fast and get caught. I know 40 over isn't that much. I've done more but never really got caught for it.

 

yeah the most i went over was probally 50 or 60, in a rural area. Only brushes with the law was when a cop pulled me over for 92 in a 65. No way out of it and it was the day after i put on my rims. Pleaded it down to 25 so i caould go to traffic school. that was whe i was 16. Then like a 1/2 year ago, cop told me to pull over, i slowed down and he lost me in the dark. Happy about that.

 

Yeah man I hate it when they do that kinda stuff, it makes me really parnoid, only because ive been pulled over 4 times haha, but i just pull into a parking lot or an addition so he stops following me. What really sends me over the edge about cops, is thatthey always tail you sooo damn close its not even funny ori always see them goin like 30 mph over the speed limit with their lights off.
