im going to offer him 11 as is right now off the bat. He says he can get a brand new turbo for 467 from the dealer (i'm pretty sure i can find one in good shape cheaper on the forums), i'm pretty sure he won't take it anyway lol.

 

i offered him 12k as is, didnt take it. I told him he had my number if he changed his mind.

 

at the end of the month all that matters are sales...he could be desperate to unload a car at the end of the month...ive seen it happen before...12k is probably a good to fair offer its just dealerships try to get as much as they can. theres an srt-4 here that just showed up on a lot , obviously a trade in and there askin 19.955 and its got 53 000 on it...its a nice car but it aint worth that price... im gonna keep an eye on it and see how much it drops

 

thing is he says he is a dealer but has no lot or anything, he just buys cars and sells them.

 

with the things that it has wrong with it, i think 12k is a good offer.

 

well if that is the case then he probably bought the car at the auction for about 8k. my buddy does this and he gets cars for about 60% of KBB at auctionand marks them up to full price. then he wont dicker, cuz theres always someone willing to pay asking price.its usually some kid with a hardon for that specific car.

a chattering from the turbo could def be a serious problem.... check if there is any shaft play, also check the wastegate for defects.... and gl with inspection with that CEL ur gonna have to get it inspected within what? a month or two of the title transfer...? :-\ anyways if i were you i'd right away go stage 2 with toys, after fixing the turbo and any other problems.... then no worries forever
