Yeah, mine will stay lit up on dimas well after opening the door... Was told by the company that sold me the light that it was normal and it would not run down the battery. So far so good, had it for about 7 months or so??? I guess it has something to do with current going to it, cause when left over night without a door being opened to trigger the light, it goes out???

Yea what I believe I think it is, When you close the door at night your light wont dim completely out. There is just enought voltage there to keep your led on. You cant see it witha regular bulb because the voltage is not enough to light the regular glasa bulb up, but a led is a lot more sensitive. After your car has been sittng for a while the cars keyless entry computergoes into like a sleep mode and shuts all the monitoring stuff down to conserve the battery. This happens in a lot of the new fords as well. I am MECP certified and when doing alarms and remote starts I come across this sometimes. The lights sometimes false out the alarms and make them go off. You could try putting in a small relay and send your own power to the led but I dont have a schematic made up for you. Let me know if you want to go through the trouble and I can try to make one up for you
