Only state police canonly use radar guns in NJ izero. Local cops cant issue a ticket with a radar gun.

NY State has soooo many State copsand Sherriffs patroling it's pathetic. Wish they would concentrate more effort on all the real violence that's going on out there!!!

 

Seriously. If you're speeding on an empty highway (interstate), it's not a big deal.

 

never heard of that rear mounted radar before. out here in tucson, they park these vans on the side of the road that constantly use radar and track vehicles. if your specific car is tracked and speeding, the van snaps pictures of your car, liscense plate, picture of you driving, and radar information. then you get your ticket mailed to you. they also have similar devices above traffic lights at intersections for speeders and red light runners. they take the same pictures and mail you a ticket also. thats in addition to all the sherriffs, city cops, andhighway patrol that use the radar also. and they can also track us by pacing us without having to use radar.

 

I have seen them for years, but not all localities have them.
