ok guys try not to help because this scared me a lil.
i was getting ready to get in my car and i dropped my key on the ground so i picked it back up and me and my buddy got in.i started my car and it freaking went crazy and turned off within 3 seconds.there is a little red dot light next to the check engine light and that was blinking.so i started shifted and made my way to the side of a building(only took like 10 times LOL).so i tried it again and the same thing happened.so we were stranded for about 15 min and then it stopped cutting off and was fine.now this was a week ago and its still fine but check this out........

i dont know what dodge did but my key is huge and it has a battery in it programed to the car.its bull because i only have one key and its $57.00 to get a new key and if the battery in the key dies then its $300 to $400 to re-program a key to a car.a key not programmed will allow you to get in the trunk and doors and start the car for 3 seconds.and its said that only certain neons have this "special retarted" feature.i have an 02 neon es and i feel sorry for anyone like me cause it sucks and there are not alot of es' on here.

now my question is i what is that light for???any hints???

no dude theres no alarm on the thing...its retarted that no one has an es...cause theyre extra special...lol...everyone be glad you dont have a battery/chip in your key....

 

Regular keys look the same as electronic keys, so you cannot determine if they have a chip based on your key's physical appearance.

OK guys if you key is skinny in the head..lol no chip. head thick yes chip. and as far as i know there is no way to get by the chip, with out putting in a new ignition switch even then i cant say if your car will work. I work at the place we all hate because of high *** prices. Yes the dealership.

 

N3ON it is a security light. Thats the car internal security system. Looks like you better get a new key soon. Instead of air freshners and dual exhaust. LOL! (I read your reply)

 

this is the difference between a ford tauras key and my neons key and clearly you can tell which one is mine.this is retarted and its not even with all my keys.its on its own ring...DAM...theres no es owners in here????LOL ...dodge this is the biggest most worst thing you've came up with and give yourself a slap on the face............

You should show a pic of it in your hand or next to a ruler. Measure that thing I mean key.
