RE: Premium Fuel
yeah i run 92 octane. ive been short on cash and ran 89, and that was garbage. i put a tank of sunoco 94 in it once, no good. 91 octane is recommended for my engine, 2.0 magnum. once had half a tank of 92 and filled up with 93. worked nicely. but 94 is simply too much. and 93 burns out quicker for some reason.

RE: Premium Fuel
octain rating defines the anti knock characteristics of the fuel. Running higher octain than neededwill NOT help performance.

RE: Premium Fuel
I used to run 89 in my Neon all the time (non-RT). I thought it was better than the 87, but after a couple years I switched back to the 87 and realized that not only did it seem a bit "peppier" at lower RPMS, but I get slightly better mileage with the 87 than with the 89.
Remember too that overall the 87 actually has more BTUs in it than 89, 91, 92-94, etc...

Does anyone here run 93 octane? I've always put 87 in this car but i'm wondering if it would run better off 93. I know from the factory it's 87 but i've heard if you do some mods you might want to run the slower burning fuel?
