Coolant Flush Help
I got it from Napa but some Advanced Autos have it too. I seriously would not use any other color coolant not recommended for my car, i don't care that nuthin bad happened to "the other guy who used it" cuz obviously the damage would take time to happen anyways.

yea... and did you let the car run up to operating temp or did you just turn it on run it for a few min. and then drain it...? anyways wouldn't that leave some water in the block...? i thought you wanted to let it all settle in the over flow and radiator, which gives you the most efficient drain... then you just rinse out the radiator... and drain the remaining stuff left over after u flush it.... damnit people just go buy a freakin' Haynes repair manual, it tells you each and EVERY step on how to flush the coolant... and the premix stuff is a god send! :-D

Sorry, I've done this stuff a LOT of times with all but one of the 8 vehicles I have ever had. I have the DCX service manuals, etc. All I cared about was what was actually in the OEM fluid. Other than that, I already knew the flush/fill process. All I care about is four things:
1. Proper complete flush of system.
1. New coolant: Proper cooling and heat exchange, and cold-weather protection.
2. Anti-corrosion protection.
3. Water pump lubrication and conditioning.
That's what I got.
Sorry guys, I can answer the questions for ya from experience, for what I personally prefer. But at the end of the day, just do what makes you happy with your car.
happy!
ill be getting that and also throwing in a thing of royal purple stuff you add to your coolant
... i wouldn't add anything... just use the premixed coolant and call it a day... additives can destroy the other chemicals that are in the coolant that help protect your engine over a long period of time... additives are generally only good foor short term use... so yea...

Unless you plan on changing your coolant twice a year...
No, the rubber feed hose that runs from the bottom of it to your fill cap... I just pulled it off the fitting on the fill cap, and lowered the hose to the ground to let it drain out. Flushed it out with the garden hose nicely. Just push the hose all the way back onto the barbed fitting when done (make sure all the water is drained obviously).
